Introduction and Project Overview
[Autogenerated] Hello and welcome to the flash ate basics training kit. My name is Papa Giorgio, and I'll be your instructor through our journey into flash. If this is your first trading kid from digital tutors, welcome to the family. I really hope you enjoy our teaching style that we've developed here. All of the instructors at digital tuners have a background in teaching and really understand the nature of how to teach students. I've personally been using flash since version one, where my first project was to create an interactive piece for a holiday holiday website for a restaurant here in the Midwest that is a major restaurant and major clothing manufacturer. From there, I was hooked, and I've been using flash ever since. And I've been teaching flash for years and years and years. If you're a veteran of our training material, I'd like to welcome you back and thank you for your support over the years. Well, without any further delay, let's get started looking at flash when you launch flash for the first time, you're gonna be brought in with this interface in the window here. Now, this is a standard interface, and I'm really gonna talk about creating, opening and building a brand new files in this lesson. So right here, you're going to see open a recent file. Now, these are gonna be the most common files that you've just opened in the order that you've opened them. So it's just a fast way to open a recent files. Here you'll create blank default documents and then over here, where it says create from template, which will go ahead and click once you'll see that Mom flash actually ships with a whole bunch of preset templates for common sizes. Now, these air banners over here you can also create Windows applications Query error in response applications, applications using the flashlight. Um, compiling method for cell phones. P. D. A's in create slide shows different types of presentations. Interactive quiz is so these air pre built quizzes that our score compliant storm complaints so you can plug these right into your system as well as different types of slide presentations. And a lot of this depends on if you're using flash, professional or flash just the regular version. Good. So I'm gonna go back to general here, and I'm just gonna create a default flash document will hit. Okay. All right. This is gonna be the most common interface layout that you're gonna see. All right, there's going to be the toolbar on this side. The timeline over here, you're gonna have some common palates by default. You see color and library, but you may have components. The alignment tools transforms all those would be over here, usually down here you have the properties tab. If you're using professional you lt's also see filters, which is brand new in version eight and then a parameters tab, which was where you'll control your components, okay. And then a major tab here that will be talking about later in the training kit, which is actions. Now, if you enjoy action scripting and want to learn more about actions, we actually have a full blown action scripting training kit as well as how to build video games with action script. So if you're into that, we have material for that available. So that's a quick overview of the interface itself. Next, I'll be talking about how to actually customize your interface, had a load in new pallets and howto present those in a way that we can move around him effectively
