Introduction and Project Overview
Hello everyone. My name is J. C. Cornwell. I'm the Director of Training and Artist Development at Sony Pictures Imageworks. I work with artists from modeling all the way to compositing, and we train in third party software, and also proprietary software. In this course we're going to go over Katana, our lighting package, and some of the takeaways from watching this course will include how to work with common interface elements of Katana, creating a simple lighting scene, so simple look development using Katana Look files, and then modifying materials, and setting up some render passes, and a few other things. By the end of this training you'll have a pretty good understanding of how to use Katana, so that you can get your job at a studio using Katana and crank out some finals, so I'm excited to share these tips and techniques with you, so let's get started with the first lesson.
