Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Miguel Lleras and welcome to my course, Look Development for Production Assets with Katana and RenderMan. I'm a Look Dev., Lighting Artist and compositor with experience of feature VFX film and animation. Katana, in conjunction with RenderMan, have become two very important tools on any CGI Pipeline. Together, they're extremely efficient to manage and create high quality assets and shots regardless of the production sites. In this course, we're going to do Look Development using RenderMan 21 where I'm taking advantage of the fantastic scene management style of Katana. Some of the major topics that we will cover include, creating a Katana Look Development Template, setting up a Lighting rig for testing the materials, creating Master and child materials with layered shading networked with RenderMan. As well as saving and exporting your Katana Look file to be reused by other department. By the end of this course, you will know how to look dev your own assets using Katana and RenderMan 21. Before beginning the course you should be familiar with Maya and RenderMan. I hope you join me on this journey to learn how to use Katana to look dev any assets on the Look Development for Production Assets with Katana and RenderMan course at Pluralsight.
