Throughout these lessons we are going to learn look development, lighting and compositing for a Noir scene using RenderMan and NUKE. We'll learn a new approach to look development and lighting by starting with the basics of RenderMan and move forward to understand a more organic and realistic way of rendering with a GI render engine. Finally, we'll composite a high quality final image with NUKE. By the end of the course you will have working knowledge of how to render a Noir Scene for production. Introduction and Project Overview Hi everyone, my name is Miguel Lleras. I'm a lighting artist and compositor, with experience on feature animated film ambient effects currently working at NBC Montreal. My latest project includes Blue Sky Studio's Epic and Rio 2 as well as the Oscar winner Big Hero 6 from Walt Disney Animation Studios. In this course, we're going to do loop development. Lighting, and compositing for a new scene using the new renderment RES system which is an out of the box glow illumination render engine. Some of the major topics that we will be discussing in this course will include the new metric outer lights, RES materials, renderment integrators, and how to create and output render passes for compositing. By the end of the training, you will be able to use the new rederment RES system, focusing on the artistic part of lighting while understanding the technical challenges of AGI software. I'm excited to work with digital tutors and show Disney a more organic and realistic way of lighting. So let's get started with the first lesson.
