Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Sara Morgan, and welcome to my course, Getting Started Building SPAs with Lightning Component Framework. I am a Salesforce Certified Advanced Developer, and currently serve a wide variety of clients as an independent software developer. In this course we are going to get you started building single page apps or spas using the Salesforce Lightning Component Framework. All the leading platform companies these days are investing in component framework, but Lightning is the only one designed specifically for Enterprise applications. Through Javascript you get lighting fast access to the power of the force. com platform. Some of the major topics that we will cover include, designing lightning component bundles, applying professional styling using the Salesforce Lightning design system, working asynchronously with Apex server-side controllers, handling events with custom Lightning events, and then finally, documenting and debugging your components. By the end of this course you'll know how to assemble and style your own Lightning components, and then put them together to create a fast and responsive single page app. Before beginning the course you should be familiar with web development using Javascript, CSS, and HTML, but if you're not already a Salesforce developer that's okay. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn about Lightening development with the Getting Started Build SPAs with Lightening Component Framework course at Pluralsight.
