Course Overview Hello Everyone, my name is Joel Berg and welcome to my course Maya Dynamics: Common Effects Techniques. I am Vancouver based effects artist and freelancer previously from studios such as NPC and Primefocus and experience on award winning films. No matter if you're an animator, lighter, modeler or beginner artist, knowing a little bit of effects is very useful. These are some of the most common effects and techniques I've used many many times and can be created all in under 30 minutes. We will create scene where we can do some quick blood, shattered glass and dust effects. And in another scene we will go ahead and do a logo animation with some fantasy type effects. You'll also learn how to officially render these effects and how they work together in compositing. When more elaborate set ups fail, you can always fall back on these effects in a pinch and can end up saving the day. These techniques can be used with any version of Maya and we will be rendering them with a combination of renderers. When starting this course you should have a basic knowledge of Maya and compositing. So let's get started and create some effects.
