Course Overview
(Music playing) Hi everyone, my name is Jared Rhodes, and welcome to my course, Designing an Intelligent Edge in Microsoft Azure. I own and operate QiMata Technologies, a consulting and training company in Atlanta, Georgia. With the explosion of cloud computing over the last 10 years, new development and management technologies have emerged and become commonly used in other solution architectures. During this period, non-cloud solutions integrated more and more with cloud solutions. As with everything in this industry, different companies are trying to capture the branding on this integration first by calling it bog computing, and later moving into what we now call edge computing. In this course, we are going to discuss edge computing and showcase all the different ways we can utilize artificial intelligence in an edge solution. We will cover what is edge computing and different edge architectures, the different edge solutions provided by Microsoft that integrate with Microsoft Azure, built-in components that we can use with minimal effort, and how to build our own components to use in an edge solution. By the end of this course, you'll know how to design an intelligent edge solution. Before beginning this course, you should be familiar with Microsoft Azure, Python, and C#. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn about artificial intelligence on the edge with the Designing an Intelligent Edge in Microsoft Azure course at Pluralsight.
