Setting up In-App Purchases in iOS
Hello and welcome to this module on Setting Up In-App Purchases in iOS. My name is Jay Mcfarland. I'm so glad that you decided to join me. We just spent some time learning how to setup the in-app purchase functionality within GameSalad itself and the good news is that now that's done you really don't have to go back and revisit it within GameSalad at all unless you're just doing some testing or troubleshooting or to go in and get some information that you need when we go into iTunes Connect and other places, just to make sure that everything is completely accurate, so now it's time to setup our in-app purchase functionality with our iPhone or our iPad, so in this module we're going to do just that. We're going to go into iTunes Connect, we're going to setup our functionality, we'll do it for our non-consumable and our consumable in-app purchases. It's a pretty straightforward process. We'll be working completely within iTunes Connect to do that, so let's go ahead and get started.

Setting up In-App Purchases in Google Play
My name is Jay Mcfarland and I want to welcome you to this module on setting up In-App Purchases in Google Play. This is a fairly new feature added to GameSalad. It's very exciting that you can now sell those In-App Purchases to Android users and I've found that it works. Yes, Android users will actually purchase In-App Purchases, so in this module we're going to go ahead and talk about how to setup the In-App Purchases on the Google Play dashboard, and when we do that we're actually going to be moving back and forth between the GameSalad Publisher dashboard and the Google Play dashboard. We need to get information from GameSalad and get that into Google Play and then there's also information we need to get from Google Play and we need to get that into GameSalad. As I said before, it's a little bit more complicated than it is for setting up the iPhone or iOS to iTunes Connect, but once you've seen how it works and you've done it once or twice you shouldn't have any problem duplicating the process over and over again, so let's go ahead and get started setting up our In-App Purchases in Google Play.

Setting up In-App Purchases in Amazon
My name is Jay Mcfarland and welcome to this module on Setting Up In-App Purchases in Amazon. As I said at the end of the last module, please don't leave Amazon out of your profit making equation or your business strategy. I've had great success with Amazon and when you consider the setup in GameSalad is basically the same it's really not that much time or effort to go in and to setup Amazon. Why leave that out if it's another storefront that is going to carry your product? In this module I'm going to show you exactly how to do that and just like with iOS and with Google Play we're going to be setting up In-App Purchases within Amazon's Developer Portal and then also adding information into our GameSalad Publisher, so we'll be moving back and forth between both. Again, this is very similar to what we've already done for iOS and for Google Play with a couple of variances, so I do want to walk you through the process, so you can see it happen, and then once you've done it once or twice you should be good to go, so let's start off by creating our new app within Amazon.

Setting up Banner Advertisements
My name is Jay Mcfarland and I want to welcome you to this module on Setting up Banner Advertisements within GameSalad and actually this module is a little bit more than just banner advertisements. GameSalad actually provides several different ways for you to monetize your apps outside of just selling them or using In-App Purchases. I'm going to walk you through each of these, give you a brief overview of how to set them up, and again, you have to decide which scenarios are best for you. First of all again, we'll talk about advertisements, and we'll start off with PlayHaven or Upsight. PlayHaven is actually a way that GameSalad has created for you to be able to advertise the apps and games of other GameSalad developers. You do this within your game and then you're able to generate revenue anytime somebody downloads a game from an ad that they saw within your app. Then we'll talk about two different banner services. One is RevMob, the other is Chartboost. These are basically ad service providers, so you're going to create a place within your GameSalad app that shows advertisements, and you need to decide which service you're going to use in order to push those ads into your game, so I use RevMob, there's also Chartboost, and there's also iAd. I'll take you through the process of setting up each of these and we'll talk a little bit about best practices and from there we'll take a look at GameSalad Publisher and how we link GameSalad Publisher to all of these different services, so let's go ahead and get started with looking at PlayHaven and Upsight within our GameSalad game.
