Course Overview
(digital music) Hi, everyone, my name is Gary Simon, and welcome to my course, Harnessing the Power of Photoshop Actions. I've been a freelance designer for the last 15 years, and I've worked with countless clients on a wide variety of projects. Actions allow you to automate many different tasks within Photoshop. From basic photo adjustments to more complex and dynamic tasks. This course is going to walk you from being an absolute beginner to Actions, all the way to a more experienced user, capable of creating advanced Actions that you can even sell if you wish. Some of the major topics that we will cover include recording and modifying Actions, using conditionals and logic within Actions, accepting user input and direction within Actions, and creating your own brush-on Action, which is an Action that allows the user of the Action to direct where the effects will occur on any given photograph. By the end of the course, you will have a solid understanding of actions and how to create actions that are sure to help speed up your Photoshop work flow and even provide you with an opportunity to make some money by selling them. Now, before you begin, you should be familiar with the basics of the Photoshop interface. I hope you'll join me on this journey to harnessing the power of Photoshop Actions at Pluralsight.
