Description

In this course, Shayne Boyer shows how to build a web app with ASP.NET Core 1.0 from scratch, in real time. Since ASP.NET Core works cross-platform, Shayne develops and runs the app entirely on OSX. Shayne ups the ante by creating an Angular client that will communicate with an ASP.NET Web API. Learn from Shayne's expertise as he writes code that serves static assets, makes HTTP requests, and handles modern JavaScript client needs such as routing. Hi, my name's John Papa. Welcome to this play by play with Pluralsight. Play by play is a series where we sit down with an expert to work on a solution in real time. It is unscripted, and it's unrehearsed. In this course, Shane Boyer shows us how to build a web app with ASP.NET Core 1.0 from scratch. Since ASP.NET Core works across platform, we challenged Shane to develop it and run it entirely on OS X. Shane accepts the challenge and ups the ante by creating an Angular client that will communicate with an ASP.NET web API. We learn as he writes code that serves static assets, makes HTTP requests, and handles modern JavaScript client needs such as routing. Please join us on this journey through building a cross-platform application with ASP.NET Core, learning from Shane. We hope you enjoy it.
