This panel will address how panel members are approaching a complex problem in their respective services of the Army, Air Force, and Space Force, and will discuss the challenges of innovating inside the US’s largest bureaucracy.

The US Department of Defense (DoD) is in the early days of a radical transformation in technology and culture. The rapid advances in technology are forcing the DoD to rethink how it adopts and uses new capabilities to keep ahead of adversaries that are doing the same. Thriving in this dynamic environment requires a new breed of service members with digital talents on par with their counterparts in the commercial sector, both in the US and abroad. Building this talent is requiring each service to reimagine new career fields, new recruiting and hiring techniques, and new methods for training and educating a technically literate workforce. The panel members will address how they are approaching this complex problem in their respective services of the Army, Air Force, and Space Force, and will discuss the challenges of innovating inside the US’s largest bureaucracy.
