The Importance of Quality Management Hello and welcome. I'm Casey Ayers and this is project quality management. Thus far in this PMP series, we've covered introduction to project management and the PMP exam, organizational influences and the project management lifecycle, project integration management, project scope management, project schedule management, developing project schedules and project cost management. This is the eighth course in our series helping you prepare for the latest edition of the PMP exam. In this course, we're going to cover four key areas beginning with the importance of quality management. From there, we'll look at how we plan quality management and how we actually perform our quality management activities on the project ensuring that all of our objectives are met and that we are able to deliver on the required specifications for our project's output. Finally, we'll look at controlling quality as well where we verify that those requirements have been met successfully as we prepare to hand off our deliverables to our end-user, client, project sponsor or whomever the recipient may be. In this module, we're first going to begin by looking at the importance of quality management, defining exactly what it is that we seek to accomplish with this knowledge area. From there, we'll look at the language of quality management some of the terminology that we use and how we can be more precise in the way that we describe our quality objectives.
