What you'll learn

In this series of tutorials, we will learn how to create a unique creature based off of our concept art. We will be talking about how to concept or create your own personal creature. We will cover a philosophy on research and sourcing, along with techniques to quickly render out our ideas in Photoshop. We will then move into ZBrush and discuss sculpting options along with design options before returning into Photoshop to bring our final project together. Software required: ZBrush 4R4, Photoshop CS6.

About the author

Tyrus Goshay has been in the Game Design field and in Illustration since 2001. He has worked as both a concept artist and as a character artist in both 2D and 3D. Tyrus has served as a Game Design Program Chair for nearly 3 years while moonlighting as a Lead 3D Character Artist for Foreverinteractive.
