Properly using profiles in Revit can enhance and expedite the design process. This course, The Power of Custom Profile Creation in Revit, teaches you all that you need to know about profiles in Revit. First, you'll explore the definition of profiles. You'll then learn where profiles are used in Revit. Finally, you'll discover step by step how to create any custom profile for any design situation. This will culminate in you working on a mock project for Arquitechna Corporation, educating them on the proper use of profiles. By the end of this course, you'll know what profiles are, the correct contexts in which to use them, and how to create custom profiles that will help your designs reach the next level.

Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Dzan Ta, and welcome to my course, The Power of Custom Profile Creation in Revit. I'm a technical specialist based out of Kennesaw, Georgia, specializing in all things BIM. Today, you're going to see how amazing profiles are used within Revit. You will gain a better understanding of what profiles are, where they are used, how they are used, as well as learn how to create custom profiles for future designs. Some of the major topics that we will cover include learning what profiles are in Revit, learning where they are used within Revit, and learning how to create your own custom profiles for any situation. By the end of this course, you will be comfortable making any profile for use in any design within your Revit. Before you begin this course, you should be comfortable in the Revit software and different creation environments. I hope you'll join me in this journey to learn all about profiles within Revit with The Power of Custom Profile Creation in Revit course at Pluralsight.

Learning All About Profiles Introduction
Welcome to the first module in The Power of Custom Profile Creation in Revit. In this module, we'll focus in on learning all about profiles, and their definitions, and a basic introduction. Our concept is to learn the what and where of profiles in Revit. In this particular module, we'll learn about what are profiles, their definition, and where are profiles used. And with that, let's get into the software.

Creating Custom Profiles for Walls and Slabs
Welcome to the second module in our course, Creating Custom Profiles for Walls and Slabs. In this particular module, we will create a custom profile for use in a wall review and in a wall sweep. We will also focus in on creating a custom profile for a slab edge condition. In this particular course module, the three areas are creating custom wall reveal profiles, then creating custom wall sweep profiles, then creating the slab edge profile, and how to apply those three profiles into the actual project. And with that, we'll get into the software demonstration.

Creating Custom Profiles for Roofs
Welcome to the next module in our course, Creating Custom Profiles for Roofs. Our focus will be on how to create custom profiles for roof soffits, fascias, and gutters. In this particular module, we'll learn how to create a custom soffit profile, we'll learn how to create a custom fascia profile, and then we'll also learn how to create a custom gutter profile. And with that, let's jump into the actual software.

Creating Custom Profiles for Curtain Wall Systems
Welcome to the next module in our course, Creating Custom Profiles for Curtain Wall Systems. Our concept in this module is how to create a custom mullion profile to be used inside the curtain wall system in various methods. In working with creating that custom mullion profile, you'll understand what shape it needs to be and the parameters necessary to build it properly. And with that, let's jump into the software.

Creating Custom Profiles for Stairs
Welcome to the last module in our course, Creating Custom Profiles for Stairs. In this last module, we will focus in on how to create a custom nosing profile and a custom railing profile for the stairs. In creating that custom nosing profile, we'll use the same principles that we learned in the prior modules to create that custom nosing profile. In addition, we'll create a custom railing profile in the same sorts, and then load both profiles into our project environment to create the custom stair that we want. And with that, let's jump into the software.
