Salesforce Process Builder is essential for any Salesforce specialist and allows quick creation of automation. This course will teach you the capabilities, limitations, some design best practices, and how to troubleshoot Process Builder.
Salesforce Process Builder can be used to produce entire applications without code. In this course, Salesforce Process Builder: Getting Started, you’ll learn how Process Builder flows allow you to automate using point-and-click automation by enacting immediate or scheduled actions, submitting records for approval, launching visual workflows, creating and updating records, and more. First, you’ll examine Process Builder at a high level: what it is, where it fits into the rest of Salesforce, and when to use it. Next, you’ll learn how to set up your own Process Builder processes while prototyping the beginnings of a billing solution. Finally, you’ll dive into troubleshooting Process Builder so you can fix problems when they arise. No Salesforce specialist’s skill set is complete without Process Builder, and by the end of this course you’ll understand the core fundamentals and be able to move on to more advanced applications.

Course Overview Hi everyone, my name is Scott Lee and welcome to my course, Salesforce Process Builder: Getting Started. I am the founder and director of Elega Corporation, hold multiple Salesforce certifications, and have worked with many technologies outside Salesforce for a number of years as well. Salesforce has many out-of-the-box tools, but with Process Builder, you can rapidly begin prototyping entire applications or solutions, many of which can even end up being what you use in live production for your organization. In fact, you'll watch me snap together automation for creating a new billing system within minutes. In this course, we are going to discover Process Builder's capabilities at a high level, learn about Process Builder's limitations and how to begin avoiding bad design practices, create a billing solution prototype using only Process Builder and custom objects, and learn to troubleshoot processes so you can quickly track down the source of errors. By the end of this course, you'll know enough to begin moving off on your own to construct your own solutions with Process Builder and begin to understand how your design may be affected by the tool's use. Before beginning the course, it helps to be familiar with custom objects and records, but it's not strictly necessary. I'll be walking you through the creation of our first examples step by step. From here, you should feel comfortable diving into Salesforce deeper with courses on Workflow, formulas, and even Apex code, just to name a few examples. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn Process Builder with the Salesforce Process Builder Getting Started course at Pluralsight.
