Sculpting Alien Concepts in ZBrush

In this ZBrush tutorial, we will learn how to create a concept of a quadruped alien. Throughout these lessons we will design a fast base mesh using ZSpheres in ZBrush. We will then quickly sculpt out the basic forms of the creature and lightly detail it. We will then further our detailing in Photoshop using various paint over and texturing techniques, and finish by refining our creature using various photographs taken and collected by the Artist. In the end, we will have a realistic 3-quarter view of the concept.

Introduction and Project Overview
Hi, my name is Jonny Brasco Bone. I am a freelance 3D creature character concept artist. We are going to be using ZBrush, KeyShot, and Photoshop to create a quadruped creature. We will be using ZSpheres to build a basic base mesh. Then we'll do a very basic sculpting procedure to refine the quadruped and send it to KeyShot for a few high-res renders. After this is done, this is where the magic happens. We will then send the KeyShot renders to Photoshop and use my paint over and photograph overlay method to refine our creature furthermore. In this course, you will learn how to create creatures in a very unique fashion. And furthermore, once you have learned my methods, you can utilize them in any future projects of your own to create high-end creature concept art for the film and game industry.
