Not all geometry can be created with simple extrusions and revolves. For complex geometry a Loft or Boundary feature is often needed. This course will teach Loft and Boundary features with all of their options. Software required: SOLIDWORKS 2016.
For complex geometry in SOLIDWORKS, Loft and Boundary features are very powerful. In this course, SOLIDWORKS - Working with Loft and Boundary Features, you will learn Loft and Boundary features along with all of their varied options. First, you'll learn how to create curves to further shape the geometry. Next, you'll learn how to use pictures as a reference to help you create accurate geometry. Finally, you'll learn how to put everything together to create a detailed design projects. After completing this course, you will have learned about the many tools used to create complex geometry in SOLIDWORKS. Software required: SOLIDWORKS 2016.

Course Overview Hello, my name is Corey Bower. Welcome to my course, SOLIDWORKS -- Working with Loft and Boundary Features. I am an Elite application engineer at GoEngineer who has a SOLIDWORKS reseller that sells to and supports customers on the West Coast, South Central United States, and the Rocky Mountain area. As an application engineer, I teach, support, and demonstrate SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS Simulation, and many other SOLIDWORKS add-ins. In this course, we will find not all geometry can be created with extrusions and revolves, it often requires more complex tools. The major topics we will learn are loft features, which create geometry from one profile to another, boundary features, which create geometry in direction 1 and direction 2, and then put it all together to create a detailed design project. By the end of this course, you will use loft and boundary features to create complex geometry. Before beginning this course, you should be comfortable with sketching and part modeling in SOLIDWORKS. I hope you will join me on this journey with SOLIDWORKS - Working with Loft and Boundary Features, at Pluralsight.
