Course Overview
Hi there, I'm Alex Santiago, a business intelligence developer. Today, we're going to build interactive reports using SQL Server Reporting Services. In this course, we're going to use SQL Server Data Tools 2017 to build highly-interactive and user-friendly reports. Interactive reporting allows the users to do various manipulations to the reports. Here with examples, we have a report with charts, bookmarks, and parameters; one is the document map, drilldown, and drillthrough; and another one with hyperlinks and interactive sorting. The users will have more flexibility on how to render the data that they require using interactive reporting. In this course, you'll learn the theories and techniques in building interactive SSRS reports using SQL Server Data Tools, or SSDT, 2017, designing visually appealing reports using fixed headers, Hide/Show property, interactive sorting and filtering, building dynamic reporting using parameters, creating meaningful and detailed reports using drilldown and drillthrough functionalities, implementing actions and document maps for easier navigations, and finally, formatting SSRS reports using embedded HTML. Building interactive reports will make your reports more appealing and user friendly. If you're starting to learn SSRS or an expert wanting a refresher, this course would be a perfect ground for learning useful techniques that would surely make your reports interactive.
