Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Tony Thorsen, and welcome to my course, Using the Web Speech API with AngularJS. I am a software developer and owner at Mark 8 Technologies. Now with artificial intelligence on the rise, and digital assistance like Siri, Cortana, and Alexa becoming more mainstream, many companies are finding ways to incorporate speech recognition and synthesis into their applications and devices. You too can incorporate these technologies into your own web applications with the use of the Web Speech API. This course is going to cover the fundamentals of the Web Speech API and how to utilize it in AngularJS applications. Some of the major topics that we will cover include the various Web Speech API interfaces, adding voice commands with speech recognition, speaking text to your users with speech synthesis, and even customizing the speech synthesizer's voice. By the end of this course, you will know how to add speech capabilities to your own AngularJS applications. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with JavaScript and the AngularJS framework. I hope you will join me on this journey to learn how to use the Web Speech API in the Using the Web Speech API with AngularJS course at Pluralsight.
