Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Jamie Maguire, and welcome to my course, Building a Form Recognizer with Microsoft Azure Computer Vision. I'm a software architect, developer, and Microsoft MVP in artificial intelligence. I often use Azure Cognitive Services to help surface actionable insights when processing data. And in this course, I'll show you how to do the same thing. Cognitive Services are some of the most exciting AI services in the Azure platform. Technologies, such as Computer Vision API, can help you extract rich information from images and video. Computer Vision can help you boost content discovery, create automated text extraction features, and much more. Form Recognizer is a powerful document extraction service that can accelerate your business processes. In this course, we're going to look at some of the key features that ship with Computer Vision and Form Recognizer APIs. Some of the topics that we'll cover include exploring what's possible with Computer Vision API, learning how to extract text from images and documents, looking at Form Recognizer API and seeing how we can use this to extract data from forms and receipts, seeing how to build and optimize custom models with Form Recognizer API. We'll also look at the various ways that you can consume these cognitive services. By the end of this course, you'll understand what's possible with Computer Vision and Form Recognizer API. You'll understand how to use these powerful AI services in your projects, and you'll know exactly where to use them. Before beginning this course, you should be familiar with Azure technology and the Azure portal. We're going to be looking at code, discussing APIs and JSON responses, so you should be familiar with web services and coding techniques. You'll also need an understanding of AI concepts. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn about the Computer Vision and Form Recognizer API with the Build a Form Recognizer course at Pluralsight.
