To manage value streams is to manage IT services based on a lean-agile mindset. In this course, ITIL® 4 Specialist CDS: Managing Value Streams, you'll learn how to put ITIL® 4 into practice when it comes to create, deliver, and support services. First, you'll explore how relevant IT governance practices contribute to contemporary ITSM management. Next, you'll discover operational practices such as service desk, incident management, problem management, and many others in detail. Finally, you'll learn how to create value streams. When you're finished with this course, you'll be ready to take the ITIL® 4 CDS certification and start working with ITIL® 4 in your day to day as a practitioner.

Course Overview
Hi, everyone. My name is Frederico Aranha, but please call me Fred. Welcome to my course, ITIL 4 Specialist CDS: Managing Value Streams. I am an accredited ITIL trainer and a certified ITIL 4 managing professional. This is the second of 2 courses in our ITIL 4 CDS certification learning path, and its main purpose is to get you ready for the ITIL 4 CDS certification exam, as well as to teach you relevant practices and techniques related to creating and delivering IT services based on a lean and agile mindset. Some of the major topics that we will cover include: recalling what value streams are and the ITIL 4 service value chain, how relevant practices behave differently according to each value chain activity, concepts and techniques such as demand management, work prioritization, swarming, the shift‑left approach, and value sourcing. We will also analyze considerations related to building or buying IT solutions and how to describe value streams, define steps, and detail them. At last, we will cover metrics related to value streams and, as we did in our previous course, we will practice together for the ITIL 4 CDS exam with real exam questions so you can get ready for it. By the end of the course, you'll have a complete understanding of the ITIL 4 CDS publication and how to correctly approach services in this new age, this digital age. From here, continue your learning by venturing into other certification learning paths on ITIL 4. I hope you'll join me on this journey and get ready for the ITL 4 CDS certification exam, here at Pluralsight.
