Course Overview
Hi, my name is Eddie Russell, and welcome to Maya Shading and Texturing Fundamentals. I'm a curriculum manager and author for Pluralsight and I've been creating courses for both digital tutors and Pluralsight for seven years now. After you've finished creating that amazing model in Maya, what is the next step? Well, you need to create shading and possibly apply textures to the asset. This course will introduce you to this process, which centers around the concept of creating and using a shading network. We'll start by learning how to create and work with these shading networks in Maya's Hypershade. From there we'll learn how we can incorporate textures into our shading networks. To wrap this course up we'll take a look at some unique situations where a shading network can help us find a solution. After completing this course, you'll be ready to dive in and begin creating shading networks for your own assets. Let's go ahead and get started with the next module.
