This course begins by explaining the nature of a SharePoint project, the various audiences and their roles involved, and their expected levels of expertise. It introduces you to the various tools you can use, and the various environments you will need to be productive in a SharePoint project. This course also talks about the basics of any SharePoint installation. The important file paths, the changes done to your OS as a part of the installation, configuration, and the basics of SharePoint logical and physical topology are all covered in this course. These are questions you will need answers to in any SharePoint project you undertake. Finally, this course covers some very basic development, and new manageability enhancements around Sandbox Solutions in SharePoint 2010. These are new features introduced in SharePoint 2010 that every architect needs to consider before planning their SharePoint rollout.
