Course Overview Hello everyone. My name is Brian, and welcome to my course, Unity 2D Fundamentals - Enemies and Obstacles. I'm professor of game design and development. I have degrees in engineering, fine arts, graduate work in digital character animation, and a masters of interactive design and game development. Unity is a versatile game engine that allows you to quickly prototype or complete a consumer quality game and creating enemies and obstacles is a fundamental part of that process. In this course, we are going to examine the creation of obstacles, as well as simple AI enemies to add to your game. Some of the major topics that we will cover include creating modular obstacles, creating a simple AI enemy, and giving your player feedback through the UI. By the end of this course, you'll know how to create your own obstacles, as well as enemies, and you'll be able to provide your player with the feedback they need to play your game. Before beginning this course, you should be familiar with the other courses in this series, including Unity 2D Fundamentals - Character Control and Unity 2D Fundamentals - Character Interactions. We're going to be picking up right where that second course left off. I hope you'll join me on this journey in understanding the creation of interactable hazards with this course, Unity 2D Fundamentals - Enemies and Obstacles, right here at Pluralsight.
