The beginner level content will introduce learners how to create walls, floors, and roofs for their Revit projects. From there we’ll take an even deeper look at walls and learn how to create custom compound and stacked wall assemblies to fit design intent.
Throughout these lessons, we'll delve into the fundamentals of modeling in Revit 2016. We'll begin by familiarizing ourselves to the basics of the Revit user interface and system families. We will discuss additional concepts and tools as we explore how to use and interact with system families to become more knowledgeable in the use of Revit and modeling best practices. By the end of this tutorial you will be able to model an enclosed structure and be very comfortable using walls, floors, and roofs in Revit 2016. Software required: Revit 2016.
In this tutorial you'll learn how edit and create customized stacked and compound wall systems. We'll start by learning to edit Revit's predefined walls. Once we become comfortable with how to change up these preloaded families, we'll then learn how to create our own stacked and compound walls from scratch. You'll see how we can create sweeps and reveals that can really customize your design. We'll also explore how to use the split region tool to add layers to a stacked wall system. By the end of this course you'll have the skills necessary to create your own wall systems using Revit 2014. Software required: Revit 2014.
Once you’ve finished the beginner level content you are now ready for some intermediate content! Topics will include creating custom system families like compound and stacked walls and even curtain walls. Also, viewers will learn how to work with parameters within loadable families. Learners will also be exposed to design, material and rendering options.
This course will give detailed descriptions about how Revit Curtain Walls function. We'll learn about curtain panels and mullions, both out of the box and customizable. We'll learn about the variety of mullion times, how to model and draft specific complex glazing geometries. Finally, we'll learn about curtain systems in Revit and how curtain walls and adaptive component patterns work in those curtain systems.
In this set of tutorials we'll take an in depth look at working with residential roof formations, materials, and even structures. We'll begin by creating various residential roof formations using various roof tools. Once we've become comfortable with making roof forms, we'll take a look at roof assemblies and customize our own assembly to fit the needs of our design. Finally, once roof materials and layers are in place, we'll model the framing system that supports the roof assembly we're trying to create. Software required: Revit 2015.
Properly using profiles in Revit can enhance and expedite the design process. This course, The Power of Custom Profile Creation in Revit, teaches you all that you need to know about profiles in Revit. First, you'll explore the definition of profiles. You'll then learn where profiles are used in Revit. Finally, you'll discover step by step how to create any custom profile for any design situation. This will culminate in you working on a mock project for Arquitechna Corporation, educating them on the proper use of profiles. By the end of this course, you'll know what profiles are, the correct contexts in which to use them, and how to create custom profiles that will help your designs reach the next level.

We'll learn how to harness the 'I' in BIM, information, to allow Revit to perform the tedious tasks in drawing documentation so we can spend more time designing efficiently and effectively. By the end of this Revit training, you'll understand family modeling, creating parameters, using formulas to maximize the functionality of families and setting up shared parameters to use in schedules. Throughout this Revit tutorial we will discuss how we can easily enhance our 3D families with 2D components. We will start with the big picture of the final curtain wall panel and move down to the small details in our family. We will learn how to model families to the appropriate level of detail and than to enhance them with 2D components. In this course, I’m going to show you how we can use curtain panel patterns and a few tools in the massing and pattern based environment to create unique building exteriors. Working in these two environments is a great way to experiment with form generation during the conceptual phase of the design process. It’s also as easy way to take a basic form or concept and develop the design three-dimensionally. By the end of this course, you’ll know how to use curtain panels for more than just glass panel curtain walls. You’ll be able to create unique and innovative building exteriors with just a few steps. Finally, you’ll gain hands-on experience with using adaptive points to create flexible geometry that you can apply to wide range of forms.
