Chelsea Pierre is a F5 Network Engineer and a PluralSight author who motivates and mentors young IT professionals about the various opportunities to excel in the IT world. After spending nearly a decade working as a female minority in the IT field, Chelsea knows what truly drives a young and upcoming professional to overcome bias obstacles and career hurdles –and it is not giving up when encountering challenges. However, it is having self-encouragement and self-motivation to be able to face any deterrents that will attempt to hinder one’s drive for success. Chelsea has gained many followers seeking mentorship on social media, such as LinkedIn, and has given motivational speeches at multiple huge tech conferences, such as Black Tech Alabama. Her own passion for teaching and mentoring young IT professionals has not only allowed her to experience a full time career, but to become SGA President at Troy Montgomery University in 2014; where she obtained a BS in Applied Computer Science.
