Hailing from southeast Michigan, Josh moved to Santa Barbara, California at age 19 to attend the Brooks Institute of Photography, where he studied a commercial & advertising concentration. Throughout the course of his formal education, Josh heavily sought real world experience through assisting a handful of pre-eminent fashion, celebrity, and commercial photographers in Los Angeles. He frequently organized crews of like-minded artists to collaborate on fashion editorial projects with many of Los Angeles' top modeling agencies. As of lately, Josh has transitioned from photography to pursue his love for post-production. Josh recently left his position at Alter, a creative CGI and print studio located in Chicago's West Loop, to freelance full time as a digital retouching and compositing artist in Portland, Oregon. When he is not buried behind screens you can find him slipping and stumbling down hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, camera in hand.
