Mike has been running successful technology teams for over 15 years. Most of that time was in the game industry where he ran teams at Zynga, Kixeye, and EA. It has been a focus of Mike's career to bring modern software techniques to the organizations he leads, focusing in the following areas: 1.Practices: Are teams following true agile principles, exploring processes like TDD and TBD, and folding in best in class practices as they emerge? 2.Culture: Do teams have a culture of shared responsibility that is blameless and values learning? 3.Organization: Where possible are teams pursuing a cross-functional team model where product, design, engineering, QA and Ops can truly own the entire value chain? 4.Technology: Are the teams implementing best in class technology solutions like micro-services and containerization that allow for a loosely coupled architecture? Mike has found that when teams are focused in each of these 4 areas, that they can realize outsized success.
