Introduction and Project Overview
Hey everyone. My name is Richard Roberts. I'm a Senior Compositor and Creative Retoucher at Alter, Inc in Chicago's west loop. Some recent clients I've worked with are Gillette, Under Armour, DreamWorks, Mountain Dew, and Kellogg's. Before working at Alter, I was freelancing for over six years and still maintain to do so on weekends. As a freelancer, I've worked for companies such as HBO and FOX, creating poster comps for feature films and shows. In this course, we are going to create a sci-fi android movie poster scene. Some of the key takeaways from watching this course include learning how to comp in several images to create a map painting scene, hand-painting and realigning components in our scene, a method for exposing robotic parts below the surface of a person's skin, and tricks to add atmosphere and dynamic lighting effects, and finally to add professional typography needed to finish off our movie poster. By the end of the training, you will have learned how to build an android human from a stock image of a person. I'm excited to work with Digital-Tutors and share these techniques with you. So let's get started with the first lesson.
