In this course, Photoshop CC Coloring Comic Characters, you'll learn how to become more confident with your abilities in Photoshop CC in order to make your character pop with color. First, you'll discover how to evolve the black and white line art with basic color flats. Next, you'll delve into rendering the shapes in darker colored tones followed by lighter tones completing the character’s form. Then, you'll explore how to add hotspots, additional darker tones for added depth and for extra visual impact. Finally, you'll learn how to add a photo background and alter it so it works seamlessly with your illustration. Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Peter Pachoumis and welcome to my course, Photoshop CC Coloring Comic Characters. I'm a multiple award winning illustrator that has a background in comics that works in the commercial illustration field as a comic style illustrator with a retro and modern pop art style. I've even had the honor of being interviewed by and created art for the Smithsonian Air and Space magazine. Have you ever wanted to use Photoshop to color in the characters that you're creating or your favorite superheroes? Have you ever wondered how to start or even how to finish or have you ever wondered what the professional artist's process is like or what their workflow is? Well, here's the chance to learn mine. In this course we are going to be going over flat coloring, rendering shadows and highlights, hotspots, color holds, and how to work with a photo for a background effect that helps our image pop. By the end of this course you will have an understanding of my process of how I color comic characters, so you can have a powerful image that pops and will connect with your viewer.
