In this LightWave 3D tutorial, we'll be creating an architectural visualization scene of a beach club wedding reception hall. We'll start with blueprints and use the LWCad suite of plugins to create the walls, windows, doors, roofing, shingles, and more precisely in our building. Then we'll move onto creating the surrounding landscape, including trees and other foliage made with the DP Verdure set of plugins. By the end of this LightWave 3D training, you'll have learned techniques for creating your own arch viz projects. Software required: LightWave 3D 11.6.3, LWCad (plugins) 4.51, DP Verdure (plugins) 1.27, Photoshop CC.

Introduction and Project Overview
Hello, everyone. My name is Phil Nolan. I'm a freelance 3D artist in the Philadelphia area. My recent work has been mostly medical animation, but I'm always finding new personal projects to work on with a variety of topics. I also have YouTube channel where I cover topics on 3D and my interest in Japanese culture. In this course, we're going to model and texture a wedding reception hall, as well as creating some plants to fill out the landscape. Some of the major topics we'll be discussing in this course will include setting up reference images in Photoshop and LightWave, using tools in LWCAD to model a commercial building and simple environment, applying basic texture to the model and surrounding area, and using the free DP Verdure plugin to make some plants for the property. By the end of the training, you'll be able to us LWCAD for your own projects, even ones that aren't architectural. I'm excited to work with Digital-Tutors and share what I've learned with everyone, so let's get started with the first lesson.
