Anthropic's Claude Design, released as a research preview in April 2026, generates prototypes, slide decks, and other design work from a conversation, then hands the result off to Claude Code as production-ready source. It's an early look at what AI design tools become when the model is capable and the tool connects to a coding agent in the same ecosystem. In this course, First Look: Anthropic Claude Design, you'll test Claude Design under three different conditions: a cold-start prototype, a messy redesign with mixed-fidelity inputs, and a pitch deck from a specific brief. Along the way, the tool shows its range, its posture, and its rough edges. Some of what it produces is genuinely impressive. Some of what it decides to do on its own raises real questions for anyone trying to fit it into a workflow. By the end of this course, you'll know what Claude Design is good for, where it isn't ready, and whether now is the right time to bring it into your work.
