What you'll learn

Managing identity and access in the cloud is a critical component of securing modern environments. With a wide range of tools and configurations available in Azure, it can be challenging to implement best practices consistently and effectively. In this course, Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500): Secure Identity and Access, you’ll learn to apply Microsoft-recommended identity and access controls aligned to the Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark to strengthen your cloud security posture. First, you’ll explore how the Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark guides secure identity and privileged access management using Microsoft Entra and Azure role-based access control. Next, you’ll discover how to implement and assign both built-in and custom roles, manage third-party and custom application access, and securely integrate services using managed identities. Finally, you’ll learn how to enhance access security through multi-factor authentication, Conditional Access policies, and Privileged Identity Management for both Entra roles and Azure resources. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of identity and access security needed for the AZ-500 exam.
