What you'll learn

An important aspect of application development and/or operations is keeping them secure. This means implementing identity and access management, encryption, but also: network security. By default, your PaaS services are available over the internet. Not ideal, and not as secure as things can be. In this course, Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions (AZ-700): Design and Implement Private Access to Azure Services, you’ll learn how to limit network access to your Azure PaaS resources and access them over your private virtual networks. First, you’ll explore the different services available, the differences between them and which offering to use in which scenario. Next, you’ll discover Azure Service Endpoints. Service Endpoints allow you to restrict network access to Azure PaaS services to one or more subnets of your choice. Finally, you’ll learn how to work with Azure Private Link and Private Endpoints. These allow you to directly connect your instances of Azure PaaS services to your virtual networks, giving them a private IP address that you can reach from any connected network. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to connect Azure PaaS services to your private networks needed to further enhance your network security.
