What you'll learn

When an Azure workload degrades, on-call engineers often reach for whatever worked last time, redeploying, restarting, or escalating by habit, and the same failure returns. In this course, Azure Infrastructure Recovery Operations, you’ll gain the ability to diagnose a degraded Azure workload from change and health evidence. First, you’ll explore how to correlate deployment, configuration, and role assignment changes against the onset of a symptom to separate deployment failure, configuration drift, permission change, policy enforcement, capacity pressure, and runtime failure, and how to decide whether the evidence justifies acting now, investigating further, or escalating. Next, you’ll discover how to select and perform the right recovery action, whether that means restoring, redeploying, rolling back, reconciling drift, or adjusting capacity, within the access and governance controls of your environment, and how to prove the workload is serving again rather than merely running. Finally, you’ll learn how to update the runbook where the failure differed from what was documented, decide which conditions deserve human review and which can be automated, and specify the follow-up change that makes recurrence less likely. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of Azure recovery operations needed to take a page from symptom to verified recovery and leave the runbook better than you found it.
