Hi everyone, and welcome to my course, Create and Manage Virtual Machines for Azure Solutions (70-532). My name is Tim Warner, and I'm a full-time trainer and technology evangelist at Pluralsight. This course covers every objective from the Create and Manage Virtual Machines domain in Microsoft Exam 70-532: Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions. Although Exam 70-532 is aimed principally at solution developers, IT ops professionals can also derive great benefit from this course. Some of the major topics that we'll cover include: Deploy Workloads on Azure VMs, Create and Manage VM Images and Disks, Perform Configuration Management, Configure VM Networking, Scale VMs, Design and Implement VM Storage, and Monitor Azure VMs. By the end of this course, you'll know precisely how to deploy, manage, optimize, and troubleshoot infrastructure-as-a-service, IaaS, virtual machines in Microsoft Azure. We'll work principally in the two Azure portals, Visual Studio and Windows PowerShell, so you'll gain valuable experience with these tools and technologies. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with the basics of virtual machines and the IaaS scenario. It's okay if your experience with VMs has been entirely on premises.
