Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Jean‑Sebastian Padoan, and welcome to my course, Build a Language Model by Using Language Understanding Service, also known as LUIS. I am a solution architect and also a Microsoft certified trainer. Developing an efficient AI capable application on a global scale requires leveraging first‑class tools. LUIS is one of those because it will allow you to create and deploy an AI model capable of extract intents from text or speech. After introducing the global process of interpreting user inputs and what the main components are, we will present the major features. This course will also give you another view of the different possibilities of using APIs or SDKs and ends with speech recognition. Some of the major topics we will cover include introducing language understanding, creating a language understanding application, deploying your model using a container, and applying language understanding to speech. By the end of this course, you will know everything about LUIS to use it in your own applications. Before beginning the course, you should just be familiar with Azure, Auzre portal, and AI concepts, and we will start by presenting the concepts and vocabulary. I hope you will join me on this journey to gradually tame LUIS with Build a Language Model by Using Language Understanding Service course here, at Pluralsight.
