Getting Started with Camtasia 8 Hey everybody, welcome to Getting Started with Camtasia 8. This is the Introduction. Let's talk about what you will see in this course, and what you will need to complete it. In module two, How to Set-up and Record, we will be going over how to set a correct resolution, recording area, a correct microphone, volume settings, and the dimensions of the project, verse, actual exporting settings. In module three, How to Edit in Post Production, we will be covering the layout of the editor, panes, canvas, timeline, how to fix and fine-tune audio, basic nonlinear editing, and adding and animating callouts. In the final module, Publish and Share, we will be going over the export settings, creating your own production settings, publishing the content, and finally, how to share your videos with the world. In this course, we'll be using Camtasia 8 for Windows. If you do not already own it, or you don't have a free trial, go to Techsmith. com and get the free trial or buy it, because this course is assuming that you have it and are ready to roll. So, grab your coffee, sit down, and get comfy, because I will see you in module two, when we will learn how to set up and record.
How to Set-up and Record Hello, and welcome to this module, How to Set-up and Record. In this module, we will cover how to set a correct resolution for your screen and final output. Recording Area. We will look at how to tell Camtasia what to capture, full screen or a more defined recording area. Correct Microphone. We will look at some tips and microphone recommendations. Audio Settings. We will look the audio settings in Camtasia before we record, and select the best settings to get you up and running. This module will help you set up everything necessary to simply hit the record button and make magic.
How to Edit in Post Production Welcome back. In this module, How to Edit in Post Production, we are going to get to the meats of Camtasia. We will look at the layout, and take a tour of the interface of Camtasia, and learn where everything is. Then we will go over some layer management tips. This will cover a lot of tips like zooming and scrubbing and locking tracks and speeding up clips and extending them, as well as separating some audio and video. Then we'll touch on stitching and grouping, cut, and delete. We'll also go over callouts, and finally end with audio. In this module, you will quickly learn how to edit your videos before you share them with the world. Well, I hope you have your Camtasia open because now it's time to edit.
Produce and Share Hey everyone. Now that you have recorded and edited your material, it is now time to produce it. In this module, we will cover how to save your project while we talk about file types. Then we will walk through the Produce and share menu. We will go over how to produce multiple videos utilizing markers. Then we'll finish with creating our own custom presets. Alright, get ready to produce some clips.
