CCT Routing and Switching: Networking Foundations

by Anthony Sequeira

Networks today are more complex and feature a mix of hardware and software used to carry data efficiently and securely. This course teaches the fundamental skills needed to build a strong foundation in the disciplines of modern routing and switching.

What you'll learn

Given the complexity of modern hardware and software in the typical network infrastructure, it can be very difficult for learners to build a strong initial foundation of knowledge. In this course, CCT Routing and Switching: Networking Foundations, you’ll learn to explain the basic devices and technologies fundamental in modern networks. First, you’ll explore the popular networking models of the OSI and TCP/IP architectures. Next, you’ll discover the network cabling and equipment found in network infrastructures. Finally, you’ll learn how to describe and even configure the basic protocols and applications of modern networking. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of basic routing and switching technologies needed to perform at a high level as a new network engineer.
