Description

Wireless networks are a required component of every enterprise network. Mobile devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones have created a demand for wireless coverage in buildings. Additionally, devices specific to healthcare, manufacturing, education, retail also required reliable wireless connectivity to operate properly.

In this course, Cisco Wireless Basic Operation and Configuration, you will learn the fundamentals of 802.11 Wireless Deployments. First, you will examine the fundamentals of wireless including 802.11 protocols and the radio frequencies used to deliver the wireless ethernet network. Next, since anyone with a wireless adapter can listen to the information transferred on a wireless network, you will discover the encryption technologies available to secure wireless conversations including WEP, WPA, WPA2, and WPA3. Then, you will learn about the infrastructure required to deliver a Cisco Wireless Network, including understanding autonomous access points, and lightweight access points with a wireless lan controller. Finally, you will explore how to deploy a Cisco Wireless Network using a Cisco 2504 Wireless LAN Controller. By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of Cisco Wireless operation and configuration.

All of the topics covered are part of the exam objectives required to earn the Cisco CCNA certification.

Course Overview
[Autogenerated] Hi everyone. I'm ross bigger trees and welcome to my course Cisco Wireless Basic operation and configuration. I'm a network engineer with more than 20 years experience building enterprise networks and teaching people about them. Wireless networks have exploded in popularity since the advent of the smartphone in 2007. Today, an enterprise network is incomplete without a blanket of wifi coverage in every area. An employee may travel with a wireless device throughout the organization's facilities. Understanding basic wireless principles and the infrastructure required to deliver quality wireless coverage is paramount for a network engineer. This course will introduce the key components needed to understand and configure of wireless infrastructure, including understanding 8-11 protocols and radio frequencies, understanding encryption principles and protocols and knowing the difference between autonomous and lightweight controller based wireless deployments. By the end of this course, you'll be able to implement a wireless network with the W P A. To pre shared key using a Cisco wireless LAN controller. Before beginning the course you should be familiar with. VLANs VLAN shrinking, interview and routing. D H C P and D N. S. I hope you'll I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn Cisco wireless infrastructure with the Cisco wireless Basic operation and configuration course at Pluralsight
