Description

The instructional design thesis for this learning path has always been "learn on-premises, and then translate what we've learned to Citrix Cloud". In this course, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD): Migrate to Citrix Cloud, you will conclude what you've learned so far and make that change in focus. First, you'll begin by being introduced to Citrix Cloud and the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service. You'll also configure the Citrix Cloud Connector in your on-premises environment. Next, you'll explore the steps in configuring CVADS with an on-premises resource location. Finally, you'll take a look at the migration steps in moving an on-premises CVAD infrastructure to CVADS in Citrix Cloud. By the end of this course, you'll have a better understanding of the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service, or CVADS, one of the many and increasing services now available in Citrix Cloud.

Course Overview
Hey, this is Greg Shields, and you've found the ninth and final course in my learning path on Installing and Managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, also known as CVAD. I am author evangelist and a full‑time author here at Pluralsight, and I've been building, managing, and helping others with Citrix environments since the days this product was known as WinFrame. The instructional design thesis for this learning path has always been to learn on‑premises and then translate what we've learned to Citrix Cloud. It's in this course where we conclude what we've learned and make that change in focus. This course reframes our entire conversation throughout the learning path through the lens of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service, or CVADS, one of the many and increasing number of services now available in Citrix Cloud. In this ninth and final course, we'll begin by introducing Citrix Cloud and the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service. We'll also configure the Citrix Cloud Connector in our on‑premises environment. Next, we'll explore the steps in configuring CVADS with an on‑premises resource location. Finally, we'll take a look at the migration steps in moving an on‑premises CVAD infrastructure to CVADS in Citrix Cloud. If you've just been tasked with building a new Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment, this course is your next stop in brushing up on those skills for success. And then from here, you'll be ready to continue on the learning path as you begin using what you've learned in your own production environment. Let's get started.
