Description

Whether you're new to Citrix, or have worked with it's many versions, you're aware of how large and complex a beast any Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops implementation can be. Very different from other solutions, you almost have to know everything about CVAD to truly appreciate...well...anything about it. It's for that reason that this learning path breaks apart the topics in installing and managing CVAD into one course for each of it's major components.

In this first course out of nine, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops: Introduce the CVAD Architecture, you'll first get an introduction to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops. Next, you'll explore these courses' alignment with the CCA-V and CCP-V certifications. Next, you'll take a high-level look at the CVAD architecture. Finally, you'll discover the virtual machines and networks you'll want to build if you plan on following along. By the time you've finished, you'll be ready to start building your own Citrix CVAD infrastructure as you progress through the learning path.

Course Overview
Hey, this is Greg Shields, and you found the first course in my learning path on installing and managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, also known as CVAD. I am author evangelist and a full‑time author here at Pluralsight, and I've been building, managing, and helping others with Citrix environments since the days this product was known as WinFrame. Whether you're new to Citrix or have worked with its many versions, you're aware of how large and complex a beast any Citrix implementation can be. Very different from other solutions, you almost have to know everything about CVAD to truly appreciate, well, anything about it. It's for that reason that this learning path breaks apart the topics in installing and managing CVAD into one course for each of its major components. In this first course out of nine, I'll be introducing CVAD architecture. We'll discuss these course's alignment with the CCA‑V and CCP‑V certifications that explore the virtual machines and networks that you'll want to build if you plan on following along. If you have just been tasked with building a new Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment, this course is your first stop in brushing up on those skills for success. And then from here, you'll be ready to continue on the learning path as we deploy an on‑premises site, deliver app and desktop resources, manage the user experience, monitor and troubleshoot, integrate app layering and Workspace Environment Manager, explore advanced management, and migrate to Citrix Cloud. Let's get started.
