Securing XenApp Welcome back to TrainSignal's Citrix XenApp Training. You're watching Secure XenApp lesson. Alright, so we've talked a lot about the environment, we've talked about servers and printers and publishing stuff. Well, now is the time where talk about, well how do I give users, that are trying to connect from outside of my network, access to my internal resources securely? And how do I configure some sort of encryption if I wanted to deploy encryption on my LAN between my endpoints and my servers? And what are the different options that I have? So in this lesson what we're going to focus on are the different methods by which you can secure the communications, or the connections, to XenApp servers. We're also going to talk about how you can integrate Secure or Access Gateway for that matter with the web interface and what's the difference between the secure and the Access Gateway?
XenApp Command Line Tools Welcome back to TrainSignal's Citrix XenApp training. You're watching XenApp Command Line Tools lesson. So we're getting close. This is going to be a very quick lesson. I want to take this opportunity at this point to introduce you to some of the XenApp command line tools that you have at your disposal. Up until now we've been using a lot of GUI interfaces, a lot of, we've been, you know, taking a look at what you can do from a GUI perspective on how you can manage the farm. Now in this lesson, I want to walk you through some of the XenApp command line tools that you can use either in scripts or if you're trying to do some stuff manually, maybe because it's just easier with some of these tools. We're going to specifically take a second to focus on the query command after we go through the list. So this is a going to be a relatively short lesson. You guys deserve a break, but it's going to introduce you to a lot of command line tools. This is going to be important for the CCA exam, so make sure that you understand these tools and you know exactly what they do.
Troubleshooting XenApp 6 Welcome back to TrainSignal's Citrix XenApp training. You're watching Troubleshooting XenApp 6 lesson. You guys have to be very, very excited considering this is sort of the last technical session or technical lesson in this course. Now, by now you guys should literally have become Xen masters, or at least I would hope, otherwise I'm going to be very, very disappointed. Now in this lesson, what we are going to cover are the 7 categories of troubleshooting XenApp 6. And these categories, I've taken directly out of the XenApp 6 prep guide for the CCA exam. And while most of this content we've already covered, I just want to focus back on this, just first of all, so that you're a little more prepared for the exam, and on covering these particular troubleshooting categories, I just don't want these to catch anyone by surprise, and it would be a sort of like a nice walk through or a recap of the troubleshooting, the main features, the main factors of the troubleshooting stuff for XenApp 6 so that you're comfortable with it. So it's going to be a relatively short lesson. I'll show you some things and some other things it's probably, you've seen it 100 times already, I don't want to have to be necessarily repetitive. So the 7 categories or the 7 classes of troubleshooting XenApp 6 can be classified as follows. Determine how to troubleshoot IMA, given a scenario, and this is word for work from the prep guide, by the way. Determine how to troubleshoot Load Manager, so we're going to talk about that, license issues, how to troubleshoot session states, how can they negatively affect XenApp implementations or servers, etc. How to use the QFARM/LOAD command. We talked about that as well, but we'll reiterate here, recap. How to troubleshoot web interface issues. How to troubleshoot printing issues. So let's go through and recap all of these categories real quick.
