What you'll learn

Red team tools are useful only when operators understand the workflow and the boundaries of the environment they are working in. In this course, Command and Control with Merlin, you'll gain the ability to operate Merlin in an authorized beginner lab. First, you'll explore the Merlin lab workflow and stand up a Merlin server with an HTTP/3 and QUIC listener on a locked-down Linux host. Next, you'll generate Windows, Linux, and macOS agents, establish sessions, and manage agent tasking through Merlin. Finally, you'll configure sleep and jitter, validate a scoped pivot, automate repeatable tasks with Merlin command-line flags, and extract session metadata from the Merlin database. When you are finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge needed to perform the stated Merlin workflows in a controlled red team training environment.
