Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Kevin Henry, a security consultant and computer analyst programmer and a holder of the CSSLP, the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional certification. I look forward to sharing knowledge and experiences with you. Welcome to my course on Software Deployment, Operations, and Maintenance, the seventh domain of the CSSLP certification. This course will help you to see the role of the CSSLP, ensuring that software is deployed in a secure manner and that the security features are enabled and monitored throughout the operational lifespan of the software. This will assist you in preparing for the CSSLP examination. The content in this domain represents approximately 9% of the CSSLP examination content. Software is built and deployed to meet business requirements and to support various business functions. This may mean that when the software is deployed, the main focus is on functionality, and, as a result, the security features are not enabled or configured correctly. This course will address the following major topics, the need for secure deployment, the processes of secure software operations, and maintaining the stable operations of resilient software. By the end of this course, you'll be prepared to progress into the next domain of the CSSLP, the area of supply chain and software acquisition. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn about the value, benefits, and features of software deployment, operations, and maintenance, and the role you can play in this exciting and rewarding field through this course at Pluralsight.
