Introduction and Project Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Joshua Samson. I am a professional filmmaker and film mentor. My current projects include wrapping up editing on an episodic Hoagie Sci-Fi called Captain Rico Skye and the Forsaken Zombie Planet, as well as various other documentary and client projects. In this course, we are going to cover editing dialogue scenes for fiction film. Some of the key takeaways from watching this course include learning how to organize and sync your footage, assemble the scene from various different angles, keep story and story flow at the forefront, impart Psychology to your cuts and editing decisions, and how to fine-tune your edits for your final project. By the end of the training, you will have the tools and techniques needed to start really editing dialogue scenes beyond just knowing how to push the buttons, but truly understanding the why's of editing. I'm excited to work with digital tutors and share these techniques with you, so let's get started with the first lesson.
