Throughout the duration of this course, we'll be covering several foundational concepts that will help you grow as an artist. We'll begin this process by learning about different types of lines and how we can use them as a tool to communicate visually. Next we'll focus on the elements of shape and form, and how they relate to one another in both 2-D and 3-D. From there, we'll study value and how we can use value to add volume and dimension to a form. Following this, we'll discover how we can draw objects in space by using one-, two-m and three-point perspective. Along the way, we'll also learn some key principles of composition, and how we can use them to create visually appealing and eye catching pieces of art. Finally, we'll learn about the basic properties of color. By utilizing the fundamentals covered in this course, you'll be able to strengthen your own abilities as an artist, whether you're working traditionally or digitally. So with that, we'll go ahead and get started in our next lesson.
