What you'll learn

Enterprise security requires centralized control and standardized practices. In this course, Administer GHAS in GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GH-500), you'll gain practical skills that serve two goals; passing the GH-500 certification exam and implementing GHAS at enterprise scale.

First, you'll enable GHAS across your enterprise environment while managing licensing and feature rollout. Next, you'll implement organization and repository-level security policies using Security Configurations. Finally, you'll master role-based access control for GHAS features and automate alert management with GitHub's APIs.

The enhanced V5 module covers Repository Rulesets—the enforcement mechanism that ensures every PR passes CodeQL and Dependency Review before merge. You'll also learn to coordinate across security, engineering, and compliance teams.

When you're finished, you'll have both the conceptual knowledge for GH-500 Domain 5 and the hands-on skills to roll out GHAS across a 500+ repository enterprise.
