Course Overview
Welcome to my course, Managing Access and Secrets in HashiCorp Vault. I am George Smith, solution architect, consultant, and a cloud security ambassador with more than 20 years of experience under my belt, and I am super jazzed up to share this course with you because unlike other courses, it covers pretty much everything that you will be doing on a daily basis with Vault, from managing access to secrets with different token types and their lifecycle features, advanced policies, and authentication methods, to leveraging dynamic secrets with various secrets engines and managing data security and transit with response wrapping. The demos are easy to follow and help you grasp advanced Vault security concepts. With the exception of the ones covering the AWS authentication method and the AWS secrets engine, you can run pretty much everything on your local machine. Where appropriate, we will dive deeper and peek behind the scenes to see what's really driving the integrations. As we progress, we'll we've all of these Vault features into a very realistic business scenario at our fictional company, Globomantics, and see how we can use Vault to deliver tremendous value to the business. This will help you bring your career to a whole new level of success. So, there's plenty to learn, and without further ado, let's go.
