What Is Adobe Illustrator?
Adobe Illustrator is the world's most popular and advanced drawing program. When you create artwork in Illustrator, it's infinitely scalable as it's based on vectors. That means that the artwork that you create could appear on something as small as a business card or something as large as a billboard. Illustrator is used by a wide variety of professionals from print, web, and mobile designers. You'll find that the artwork you create inside of Illustrator will be used in other creative cloud applications. For example, you may create artwork inside of Illustrator for use within a titling sequence in After Effects or Premier. It's not uncommon to integrate the artwork you create inside of Illustrator and bring it over to a raster-based application like Photoshop. Inside of Illustrator you have the ability to create this vector artwork. You can easily transfer this vector artwork to other applications that support vectors, for example, Flash. You could create the artwork inside of Illustrator and animate it in a program like Flash or even Edge Animate. As a web designer, you'll find Illustrator to be an incredibly powerful tool for creating website wireframes and mock-ups. Likewise, mobile designers love Illustrator because they have the ability to create resolution-independent graphics making it much easier to work in the fragmented world of mobile devices. In this course, we're going to be taking a look at the basics of Illustrator to get you comfortable and productive inside of the program. If you want to continue your education inside of Illustrator, trainsimple. com has a whole host of additional Illustrator training.
